Q. What did you see from Parker's game today?

STEPHEN VOGT: I thought Parker threw the ball excellent. They made him work. They kind of got his pitch count up. Outside of the one mistake. I thought that wasn't a bad pitch. That was a good hit by Murakami. I thought Parker threw the ball excellent, did his job, kept us in the game. And yeah, just weren't able to get anything going, but Parker was outstanding.

Q. They threw a bunch of different guys at you in a bullpen game. Was there any particular threat that they were so successful with all five of them?

STEPHEN VOGT: Every single one of them threw outstanding. They were pumping the strike zone. They were getting ahead. Kept us from getting lead off guy on. I thought this game was about their pitching.

I thought they pitched excellent tonight. Obviously Smith with the way, he started the game and then Taylor going forward in relief and the guys in between, it was a really well-pitched game by them.

Q. How frustrating is it, though, to get the bases loaded twice there early in the game and not put one across?

STEPHEN VOGT: Yeah. Of course you're frustrated when you get shut out, but I thought our guys fought and battled. With how well they threw, we were getting on base.

Like I said, we just couldn't get it going early in the inning to get some action going, but credit to our guys for continuing to get on base and a couple of good pieces of hitting with the bases loaded. Just didn't get down.

Q. How tough of a play at the plate was that, Austin losing the throw from left field trying to make that tag? Just how tough --

STEPHEN VOGT: Those plays are really hard. You got the runner coming right into your face, the ball bouncing. The shadows had crept in at that point, too. So really tough play. Obviously unfortunate we didn't complete. That would have been a big momentum shift.

Again, I thought -- obviously outside of some of our bats, I thought we played an excellent game. I thought we played well defensively. I thought we pitched excellent. They just pitched better than we did today.
