TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

August 29, 2026

Viktor Hovland

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

East Lake Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Satisfied with the round?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Super pleased. I mean, 65 out there, especially with that finish, super happy with that.

Q. Your putting in the recent months has kind of been up-and-down. You've had some really good weeks, four weeks. You're on another really good run. Is there anything you're finding in those weeks that's consistent or that you found this week?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: I'd say the last few weeks I have been putting a lot better, but it's been hard to put together consistently good days in a row. I mean, that's kind of how putting is. You can putt great one day, and the next one, putt not so great.

Yeah, it's been just one of those weeks where I've been able to put it together every single day for three days. So that's really cool. I think, even though the green complexes are different here, I do like -- for some reason, it's so opposite to what I've grown up playing in back home in Norway. You don't ever get to see Bermuda greens rolling 13 on the Stimp.

But for some reason, I do feel comfortable. I do feel like I'm reading the greens really well, and as soon as I find a read, I'm just super comfortable over the ball. Yeah, it's been awesome.

Q. Everyone's talked a lot today about how difficult it's been to get separation. For you to get a little bit at the end, is that meaningful for you going into tomorrow?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, super. It's pretty bunched up around 11- and 12-under par there. I mean, you've seen some 62s out there. You can take it low. So it was nice to get a little bit of distance, especially from the group of guys that are around that number.

I mean, they're capable of shooting nothing tomorrow. So that gives me a little bit of a cushion for tomorrow. I'm still going to have to bring a nice, solid around.

Q. If you win tomorrow, will you consider yourself winning the TOUR Championship or the FedExCup champion?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: TOUR Championship winner.

Q. Having done this before?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: This feels different than 2023. Just because of the format, I feel like it's anybody's game this week versus in '23 -- although you're playing for way more points in the first two events leading up to this event, I feel like it was harder to win in '23.

Definitely just feels more like a TOUR Championship, but I'll take it.

Q. I was going to say, you're still going to accept the trophy?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: I will, yes.

Q. Two of them.

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Two of them, yes.
