Nico Echavarria

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA

PGA National Champion Course

Quick Quotes

Q. Nico, nice spot, one back into Sunday. How are you feeling about your game and your position into the final round?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: Feeling good. It was a good day out there. I think the conditions were a touch easier. Some rain overnight made the course play a little easier than it was yesterday. It's still a very hard course. The scores -- 13-under is leading; that's how you want to win a tournament. That's where you want to be.

Being one back, if you would tell me this on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I would take it. Playing well. Hopefully we can keep doing what we're doing.

Q. Did someone say you're moving down here?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: I am.

Q. What inspired you to move down here?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: Mostly having -- we don't have any family in Jacksonville. We just got married. We want to have kids soon. So that extra help with my wife's parents that live 45 minutes to an hour away would be huge. We travel a lot, so that's kind of the decision that we made.

Q. When are you moving down?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: We actually got the house yesterday. We're building a house. We're still going to do some touches to the house. So probably in two, three weeks we'll be moved.

Q. Yesterday you literally closed on the house?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: Yes.

Q. Before or after your round, or how --

NICO ECHAVARRIA: During. Claudia missed a few holes and the start of the round.

Q. What's it feel like, that feeling of closing on a house?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: It was good. It was good. I'm very thankful for her. She's done a lot. She planned mostly the whole wedding. She has done most of the decisions in the house, so I'm very thankful to have her.

Q. What are you most looking forward to about tomorrow and giving yourself another chance in the arena?

NICO ECHAVARRIA: Yeah, very excited. I didn't get off to the best start of the year, but I knew that we were close. I played well last week. I didn't make many putts. So I knew that a course like this fits me well.

I'm very excited of playing good golf tomorrow, and hopefully we have a chance to win.
