DE'AARON FOX: Obviously, I don't know what can honestly change it because there's always been a cash prize and things of that nature, but guys were in agreement, at least in our locker room, that guys want to compete.

Q. You mentioned that moment with LeBron and the photo. What kind of meaning do you get out of moments like that at a weekend like this? What's it like for you as a player to be able to show that?

DE'AARON FOX: That's dope. He's been playing almost my whole life. For as long as I can remember watching basketball, LeBron's been in the league. For me, that's -- I've never really had a favorite player growing up. My favorite player was Kevin Garnett. After that, there wasn't really anybody.

You can't take away everything's LeBron's done for the game and just the world. That's a dope picture for me. Especially like seeing my kids and then -- I have friends whose favorite player is LeBron. I know a lot of people whose favorite player is LeBron. So that's a dope picture.

Q. You were in Anaheim and it worked out and you got out here. How does it feel to be part of this?

DE'AARON FOX: Yeah, this is cool. I never take these things for granted obviously. I want to be on vacation and not have to work and do things like this, but at the end of the day, I understand the position I'm in and how blessed I am. I'll never take these things for granted even if I want to take some time off.

Q. Can you explain how well you think the Spurs did this week top to bottom?

DE'AARON FOX: Man, second place. We came in second place in everything. If the World Team wins, Vic is more than likely going to be MVP. Dylan and Steph's team wins, Dylan is the MVP. Carter comes in second. We just came in second. Let's try not to finish in second this year for sure.

Q. When you watch a guy like Kawhi compete, what stands out to you in moments like this?

DE'AARON FOX: Obviously injuries aside, that's always what's talked about. Kawhi is one of the top 10 most skillful guys to ever play this game, and he attributes that to his strength, like he's so strong.

It's funny. I was working out in San Diego one year, and we were working out in the same place. Just watching him workout, like the attention to detail that he does with every shot, every dribble, every free throw, there's no wasted motion with everything he does. It's simply amazing how good he is.

I go, that's why no one guards you one-on-one. That's why we're sending doubles at you, we're sending three guys at you. We're trying to make somebody else shoot the ball if you're in the game.
