THE RYDER CUP

September 28, 2025

Justin Thomas

Farmingdale, New York, USA

Q. Huge point for Team USA. Your record in singles at the Ryder Cup remains unbeaten. What kind of fight and determination did you have out there?

JUSTIN THOMAS: Yeah, I fought really hard. I didn't have my best stuff. I felt like I was very lucky that Tommy didn't either. I respect Tommy so much. He's arguably the hardest person to beat in this competition. It's very obvious that this is an extreme long shot, but it had to be done by some of us in the beginning, so I'm just so glad that Cam and I could finish like that to at least give us a window of hope.

Q. You earn your second point in Sunday singles to give hope for Team USA. How has your team found a way to believe today?

JUSTIN THOMAS: Look, it's obvious that it was and still is an extreme long shot. It just is more that we just needed to try to get some points there in the beginning. If Cam and I halve those matches, let alone if we lose, it's over, especially with the halve to start the day from Viktor withdrawing. We just want to come out here and battle today. We'd be stupid to sit here and be like, we're going to -- all of us thinking this is going to happen. We know it could, but we just wanted to come out and battle, and that's what we did.

Q. What has Keegan done to lead this team amidst the adversity?

JUSTIN THOMAS: He's done great. He's obviously gotten a lot of ridicule and a lot of things throughout the week just because we haven't played well enough, but I'm glad to see us just play a little bit better today and finally give these fans something to cheer for and something to cheer against.
