Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
Q. Tough, tough afternoon, but what a great week. Can you talk a little bit about this afternoon, first of all.
LILIA VU: Yeah, I'm still kind of processing honestly. Australia played great. I don't know how your match went.
YEALIMI NOH: Oh, yeah, Hannah was like 8-under.
LILIA VU: They were strong players. We knew that coming in. They played great.
Q. Hannah was really focused on the final hole this afternoon.
YEALIMI NOH: She played fantastic. I mean, just darting everything, making almost every putt she looked at. It was a great match; really fun to watch. I played pretty good, I'd say so. It was an awesome match, a lot of fun.
Q. Great out from the hill as well from you.
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah.
Q. Angel, Minjee looked like she was nails at the end as well.
ANGEL YIN: Well, kind of passed out on the last two holes. Was glad I didn't pass out. Yeah, I think overall good. I'm just glad we got to the finals as a team. I think we really bonded over this week. I think it just shows like our teamwork is great.
Q. I felt like, yeah, you guys had one of the strongest team spirits of anyone. It was really nice to watch. Do you feel like you all got a bit closer, it kind of makes you look forward to the next one?
ANGEL YIN: Yeah. Especially with Solheim next year, I think it's going to be fun.
LILIA VU: Yeah. I mean, it kind of goes to show, the two teams in my opinion that had the best camaraderie ended up doing the best.
So that's my takeaway from it.
Q. For those who have never played in this event on tour, how would you describe it next time you tee it up?
LILIA VU: I would say it's another opportunity for us to play match play, but also good for other countries to kind of showcase their match play skills.
ANGEL YIN: Yeah, to just represent how international our Tour ism too. For us to be able have all these team, it means our Tour is very global. It's a positive, not a negative.
To bring all the different countries to come over and root, I mean, you saw so many fans out. I think it's going to grow our Tour, in my way of view.
Q. And how much do you relish the chance to play match play?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: I love it. It's my favorite thing to do.
ANGEL YIN: I wish we had more.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, like I'm really bummed the match play event is not going to be next year. Like I love it so much.
YEALIMI NOH: In Vegas. It's just a different way of. It's like literally your game.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: There's like all these little games within the game that's not the same as stroke play.
Q. Any time you're man on man.
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah.
Q. Is there anything outside the ropes that was kind of unique or an elevated experience for you as a player, whether it's a gift or just something nice that you were surprised that you did?
LILIA VU: I mean, I got like a friendship bracelet from one of the fans. I thought it was pretty cute. She had given me a little cat last year from the BMW, so it was nice to see her again.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: I mean, our lodging was unbelievable. How they took care of us at the Fairmont, having food there every night and things like that, having a lounge for us and stuff so all the caddies and players could go eat dinner and stuff.
YEALIMI NOH: I was going to say the same thing.
Q. You got a million won one night?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: That was like if you went with your caddie, they gave you a million won, but it was like --
Q. Content?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: It was content related, and you had to go with your caddie, though.
ANGEL YIN: I mean, it was just to showcase Hanwha and their hospitality. I know it sounds like a million won, but it was also a two-way street. I didn't go. I don't think any of us went actually.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: It was hard to go because it was Wednesday night.
YEALIMI NOH: The guys want to do stuff together.
ANGEL YIN: It's hard to coordinate. I mean, it was a lot of moving parts. I saw a few teams go, Sweden.
LILIA VU: Charley went, I think.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: It would have been awesome I'm sure. It didn't work out with our schedule, not because we didn't want to.
Q. It's a nice gesture, among others.
YEALIMI NOH: I mean, like the hotel is an amazing area. Close to the city. I'm just glad just about everyone has been to Seoul, could experience Seoul, and not just the middle of nowhere in Korea. It was really cool to be there.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, this was my fourth time in Korea, and I had never been to Seoul at all. We'd always flown into Incheon and were flown out in the middle of nowhere before. It was nice to be in the city. The food is unbelievable, yeah.
