Q. How would you characterize the day today?

RICKIE FOWLER: I didn't swing it as well as I have been, which I didn't mind. Did a good job of scoring, getting around, did what I needed to do today. Yeah, excited for tomorrow. Know what we need to do and see if we can go get it done.

Q. Do you know what you feel like you need to do or is it just a general idea?

RICKIE FOWLER: General. I mean, within reason. Obviously top 5 I know will lock it. There's a few other factors outside of that depending on finish from there. But go put together a nice round tomorrow and we'll be good.

Q. What's your main focus tomorrow? Do you focus on that or just go play?

RICKIE FOWLER: Hopefully swing it a little better than today. It was nice to see some putts go in after yesterday. Hopefully just go wear out some fairways and then get the iron play back to where it's been and make some putts, but it sounds a lot easier than it is.

But yeah, go play some simple golf and we'll be all right.

Q. Is there one thing maybe with the swing that you kind of know was a little off today?

RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, just getting a little quick. Just timing and rushing a little bit. Yeah, kind of let it just get into a good position and I can -- when I do that, I can go as hard as I want from there. But was just a little out of sync today.

Q. You come into this tournament in the position you were in, is it kind of just taking it one day at a time, trying to sort of stay in contention at the end of each day?

RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, obviously have been trying to score and play as best I can. Haven't made a whole lot. Made a few today, which was nice. Yeah, not in a bad spot. We obviously have a chance going into tomorrow. In a way, I'd much rather be on the outside looking in. I know what I need to go do, versus maybe being inside trying to protect type of thing.

Go out and yeah, we'll see if we can get things going and hopefully get off to a nice start and just play some good golf tomorrow.
