Q. What do you think during the draft process, during your workouts, went well and caused teams to select you?

HANSEN YANG: Starting at the combine, doing what I need to do to play my best at each workout.

Q. What was your contact with the Blazers like leading up to the draft, and how did those meetings and workouts go?

HANSEN YANG: The Blazers had scouts scouting me in China the last couple years. I also had a pre-workout with them last month. Everything went very well and I got along with all the front-office people. But at the end of the day, this is sort of beyond my wildest imagination.

Q. We had heard that you had a wonderful combine, also something about maybe a great workout with Portland. At what point did you actually find out that you would be selected midway through the first round by Portland?

HANSEN YANG: After the 15th pick, I noticed more and more cameras surrounding me. I just thought something was off or thought something was about to happen. So that's when I found out.

Q. What was your day like today, and did you come here expecting to be drafted tonight, or is that something that surprised you?

HANSEN YANG: I was expecting to be selected at the end of the first round. So this is definitely a big surprise for me to be selected in the middle of the first round.
