THE 149TH OPEN

July 18, 2021

Jack Senior

Sandwich, Kent, England, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. Just your thoughts on the round today.

JACK SENIOR: Disappointing. Just didn't quite have the speed of the greens from the get-go, to be honest. Had a shocking 4-putt on 17 and just didn't really feel like I holed many putts out there. It was just a frustrating day all in all.

Q. Does that sum up the four rounds, just frustrating and never quite got going?

JACK SENIOR: Yeah, just frustration, more than anything. I think as the golf course has firmed up, it's become more frustrating. It's become really, really difficult to get close to the pins. The greens are obviously firming up, and even out in the fairway it's pretty tough to get close to the pins and give yourself real good chances.

Q. What's coming up for you now? What's the next tournament you're playing in?

JACK SENIOR: I'm going to play Wales next week, and then I'm going to play Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm, where I've won in the past. It's a golf course I'm very familiar with.

And then I'm probably going to take a couple of weeks off maybe or just see how things flow really, to be honest. I've got to keep my foot on the pedal really. Can't rest on the performance I had last week in Scotland. I've still got to keep moving forward and keep pushing forward and keep trying to get myself near the top of the leaderboard.
