Q. Can you describe for us the challenges in playing someone such as Naomi, especially playing against a fellow country-person?

MISAKI DOI: I was, like, before the match I was thinking this is a good opportunity. I play two matches on clay court here, and I had good confidence against Naomi.

Of course she's such a good player, but I don't know. I think I started well. If I could hold my serve a little bit more I think I had little bit more chance.

Q. What do you think makes Naomi such a great competitor, whether it be on a clay court or hard courts?

MISAKI DOI: I think she doesn't like clay. I think. I'm not sure. But still she has like big shot, big serve, big like good backhand. She has a lot of power. This is I think big thing.

Compared to me, I think serving is I think a big thing.
