AUSTRALIAN OPEN

January 22, 2007

David Nalbandian

MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Did you lose a bit of energy after those two five-setters, do you feel?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: Well, a little bit maybe, yeah. On the knee, as well. I think maybe I couldn't still pushing as I wanted, so it falls down a little bit. In the end of the second set as well, too.

Q. Did it feel okay at the start and just got worse?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: Yeah, not really okay. Yeah, I feel a little bit better in the beginning and then start feel more.
I thought I could move good, but I couldn't.

Q. Is there something in his game that you don't like?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: Today he played very good. I mean, he's a good player. He served very good, as well. I couldn't return as I wanted. When we was playing from the baseline, sometimes I feel that I have the control of the point, but I get a lot of breakpoints or Love-30s, 15-30s with second serve, and he serve really good and I couldn't do much with my return.
