Q. Thanks for joining us. Two wins and a second in three events at the start of the season in this part of the world. How big is the feel-good factor coming back?
PATRICK REED: I feel great. Obviously we've played in the desert really well this year. Kind of feel like the game is trending in a spot that I really need it to be right now.
So yeah we feel good and comfortable but obviously these two weeks are very important with not only just the Race but with the elevated points, going out there and trying to hopefully hoist up another trophy.
Q. Your third appearance in this championship. Haven't been at your brilliant best in the previous two. Have you learned anything about the course or are you changing the way you go about it?
PATRICK REED: I feel like this golf course, I needed to play it a couple times to figure it out. I feel like towards the end of the week last year, I kind of was starting to figure out this place. I was definitely being way too aggressive off the tee. For me, it's more about getting the ball in play, putting the ball in the fairway and attacking it from there. Really just understanding the golf course a little bit. I feel like I've done a pretty good job kind of prepping coming into this week and over the past couple days. We feel comfortable.
Q. You've been leading The Race to Dubai for the majority of the year but now second place to Eugenio. How do you view that challenge with Rory just behind you?
PATRICK REED: It's definitely something you have to pay attention to because obviously with Eugenio, he's played some amazing golf of late, as well as throughout the year. Never can fall asleep on a guy like Rory who is right behind you. It's going to be a fun finish for us three and I feel like it's going to be a pretty good battle. We have eight rounds of golf to go out there and hopefully be the one on top.
Q. How excited to have that opportunity to be only the second American to win Race to Dubai?
PATRICK REED: I mean, really excited about that. Especially with a guy that I pride myself and coming over and being that American that consistently shows his support on the DP World Tour and playing worldwide golf. So for me it would mean a lot. It's always been a goal of mine to win The Race to Dubai, and hopefully we can knock that off this year.
