NASCAR CUP SERIES: XFINITY 500

November 1, 2026

Kyle Larson

Ridgeway, Virginia

Pit Lane Interview

Q. Opportunity to clinch the championship tonight. Instead the beginning of the race got away from you, no stage points. You still walk away plus 67 headed into Homestead. How does that make you feel?

KYLE LARSON: Yeah, I'm surprised that it's that good. Yeah, I mean, I'm happy, but I'm also bummed because there's a lot of opportunities there in the stages.

Yeah, we were just on the wrong side of the strategy. I think kind of just playing off Denny, probably mostly Denny, but I'm sure the 19 as well.

Yeah, just struggling for grip there for about the last 50 laps. Yeah, unfortunately went down a lap there right at the end. That hurt the second stage. Thankfully we were able to get back to the lead lap. Other guys spent longer a lap down.

Yeah, I mean, it all could have been a lot worse tonight. Look at the positives from that, go to Homestead next week with a comfortable gap, but still not locked up.

We'd love to get a couple good first stages, then pound it in the third stage.

Q. What is the focus as you go to Homestead knowing you still have a little work to do? Any concern?

KYLE LARSON: Sure, there's always concern when it's not clinched.

Yeah, I absolutely will feel some pressure this week. I know it's a large gap. Crazy things can happen. Just got to go there and execute like we have all Chase, yeah, just be ready to capitalize.
