Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Let's go ahead and begin with our press conference here.

Congratulations, first of all, to TO Elvis, winner of the Breeder's Cup Sprint. Congratulations to we have owner Tomoya Ozasa and trainer Daisuke Takayanagi.

We'll start off with trainer. This horse won on derby day, but then since then, you've given him a lot of time off. Was that your plan all along to have that much time coming into this Breeder's Cup race?

DAISUKE TAKAYANAGI: Yes, we have a plan to run him once between these races, but considering the various things, we would focus on this race.

THE MODERATOR: Here's a horse with now six wins in a row, and so impressive today over here in America winning again. What would be next for him?

DAISUKE TAKAYANAGI: We have some various options, but first of all, we have to see the horse's condition and consider about the next race.

So that's the first thing.

THE MODERATOR: Mr. Ozasa, congratulations. You name these horses, all your horses, with the TO after your name. But what today -- this Breeder's Cup win here in America, beating the best of our sprinters has to really be a special day.

TOMOYA OZASA: I expect the horse is going to be a very historical horse among the Japanese sprinters and perform well worldwide. That's what I'm expecting now.

Q. I just want to know your thoughts watching the race being so far back, and then kind of running for home, just how you feel about that?

TOMOYA OZASA: First of all, I thank all the stable staff for doing their best to bring him in this condition into the race.

For the race, I thought the pace was a little bit high, but that was what we have expected. Race close the rear and move toward the outside coming from home, and showed very good acceleration. That's what I was expecting.

Q. A quick follow-up. Will we see this horse in the United States again?

TOMOYA OZASA: Yes.

DAISUKE TAKAYANAGI: We would like to bring him over again.

Q. There's a pretty good chance you might be the champion sprinter here in the United States. What would be your feeling?

DAISUKE TAKAYANAGI: That's a most delightful thing for us, very happiest thing.
