MAYBANK CHAMPIONSHIP

October 30, 2026

Liyana Durisic

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. We are here with Liyana Durisic after round two of the Maybank Championship. Pretty colorful round today. What was going well? What was not working?

LIYANA DURISIC: I had a bogey start which I didn't think anything of it, and then I kind of just played really well, was making some putts.

Throughout the round I was just kind of -- wasn't hitting the ball as well as I did yesterday, which is fine. I was just focusing on like missing it in the right spots.

I had one bad hole which was a double, and then the rest is just like minor mistakes. But other than that, I think still a chance for like a solid two more days.

Yeah, still pretty happy with the way played today.

Q. I know you want to put this behind you, but just what happened at the double bogey?

LIYANA DURISIC: So it was hole 14. I was on the right. I was in the rough. A flier lie. Pin was also tucked to the right, and it was just a matter of hitting the right number and I didn't, so I fell short.

Also a downhill lie and not my best suit, so something to work on. And then just two chips from there and just a good putt -- two-putt and just walked away with a double, and that's fine.

Q. Still solid two days. Looking forward to the weekend?

LIYANA DURISIC: Yes, looking forward to the weekend. Still a lot more golf to be played and I think it's looking good for the next two days.

Q. I know yesterday you said that your brother distracted you a lot and you guys were talking about things, everything else other than golf.

LIYANA DURISIC: Yeah.

Q. So did that kind of happen today with your bogey start, you kind of needed that distraction as well?

LIYANA DURISIC: No, not really. I didn't have my brother on the bag today. He had an emergency that he had to take care of so I had a friend on the bag, and he was -- we weren't chatting about golf either. He was a good distraction as well.

He kept me really stable and steady, and, yeah, my brother will be on the bag tomorrow, so still looking forward to having at that distraction on the course.

Q. What was actually -- what would actually go through your mind when you're making all these double bogeys and bogeys and --

LIYANA DURISIC: Nothing really. It was just like, okay, tough luck. Walk away with a double. That's fine. I still had like five more holes to go, and five holes is a lot of holes, so nothing. Good solid mind.

Q. (Indiscernible.)

LIYANA DURISIC: For sure. I think yesterday it obviously gives me a little bit of expectation for today, but then it was just more so focusing on enjoying the round still. I was -- I wouldn't say that I'm sad I didn't play 5-under like yesterday, but it was more so that I know I'm capable of it and the next two days will show.

Q. How about the expectation?

LIYANA DURISIC: No expectation. Just going to go out there and enjoy golf. There is still 36 hole to be played and still looking fine, yeah.
