Q. Joining us after the second round of the Maybank Championship is Julia Lopez Ramirez. Really great round today. 6-under with a double bogey. Can you just talk a little bit about what was going so well?

JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: Yeah, feel like my irons was going really well and like my birdies were all into like six feet, so I think that's what made the round go really well.

I'm driving it really well. Being in the fairways and hitting irons really well kind of makes the score out here. So it's just be patient with the weather. It can be quite hot. It can get your mind out of it sometimes.

Q. You have a lot of fans here and you had a lot of fans in Thailand, too. Is there something about the crowds out here that you think are just drawn to you?

JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: I don't know. I feel like it's quite fun to come out here and get to know and you they come support you. It's quite fun when you don't have family out here and the fans become yours. It's quite fun to play with them and having the support.

Q. You've had some really strong starts since Solheim Cup. Do you feel like there is something about Solheim that just almost gave you confidence or got your mental right or anything like that?

JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: Yeah, I think it was a bit of both. Solheim Cup is a big stage and you play like in front of really big crowds and it's like one-on-one, so it's like kind of give you a lot of confidence, like if you can be out here, you can be playing in tournaments as well. It's kind of a bit of a mindset I would say, coming from Solheim and also playing out here.

But, yeah, feel like it taught me a lot of things and like kind of helped me like come forward and like try to play more my game and have more fun that I try to do and not just be too stressed.

Q. What do you think was going well in your game?

JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: I felt like I drove it really well, hit lots of fairways and lots of greens. So I think my irons were like really precise and like I hit them really close; that's kind of what give me the birdies.

Yeah, I think it was kind of like keeping cool as well. Like try to hydrate a lot and I eat a lot of food even though it's really hard to eat when you're in this heat. Yeah, I think that's kind of like...

Q. What's the game plan for tomorrow?

JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: I think it's about the same. I think it's like four days, long days because of how hot it gets out here. All you got to do is try to be patient, try to play your game more than anything. Just have your fun, hit fairways, hit greens, and let the result predict itself.
