Quick Quotes

Q. Joining us after the second round the Maybank Championship is Miyu Yamashita. Bogey-free today. How are you minimizing mistakes out there?

MIYU YAMASHITA: So my ball striking was pretty consistent again today, and I was able to give myself some good birdie opportunities with my approach shots.

So overall, I think I play another really solid round.

Q. You've had such a good season that no one seems surprised when you play well. Do you ever surprise yourself with how well you play?

MIYU YAMASHITA: So it's not different from usual, but I've been playing some really good rounds this year especially. My game is in better shape than last year, so my swing feels really good, too.

Q. You're not one of the longest hitters on Tour. How do you think that's helping you at this golf course?

MIYU YAMASHITA: So the fairways are quite narrow this courses and then there is a lot of elevation changes. My distance control has been good and I've been able to take advantage of the par-5s.
