MIYU YAMASHITA: So my ball striking was really consistent today and I putted really well, so I think that happened me shoot a good score. And I'm really happy to have gotten off to such a good start.

Q. When you're defending champion and you know that you can play really well at a course, do you think that helps with your mental at all heading into a round?

MIYU YAMASHITA: So I got off to a really good start on the first hole and then my pairing was really nice. I feel like really good playing out there.

Q. All of your wins so far have been in different countries. Do you think that you're just a player that can succeed anywhere in the world?

MIYU YAMASHITA: So I was able to walk through it by discussing each shot with my caddie. With different wins everywhere I can hit and I enjoy the wind, so this makes me -- this helped me to play well all over the countries.
