Q. Joining us after the first round of the Maybank Championship is Liyana. Really strong round. Bogey-free. Can you just talk a bit about your round and how you minimized mistakes?

LIYANA DURISIC: Today was -- it went really well. My ball striking was really good. I would say I was missing them in the right spots, as you have to in this course, and I was just minimizing my mistakes. (Indiscernible) correct spot and then just getting two putts here and there and then, yeah, just set me up for a good round.

Q. A home crowd here. Just how much does that support mean to you and how much does it keep you out there fighting?

LIYANA DURISIC: A lot. It was nice. My really close friends are out here and it was very heartwarming to see them supporting. I thought they would kind of go away after nine holes but they didn't thankfully, which was really nice.

I think this gives me a whole lot of energy and it's -- I'm not playing for myself. I'm also playing for other people and my country. So I think it's really nice.

Q. You're going to second stage of Q-School next week. Just how does this set you up and give you confidence heading into a really important week of your life?

LIYANA DURISIC: Yes, I'm really hoping this week is going to be a confidence booster. We're apprehending right now which is great. Yeah, I think next week is going to be just as important as this week, if not more.

Good round today and a couple good rounds in the next three days would set me up really good.

Q. So the mental golf thing is really working?

LIYANA DURISIC: Oh, yeah. Today was great. I was hitting, I was just missing -- when I missed them in the right spots it was just like also a confidence booster, even though it wasn't pin seeking.

Yeah, and I also had my brother on the bag and he was great at like keeping me stable and calm throughout the whole round. So it was just mental game was perfect today.

Q. So was there any holes that you could have actually made a birdie or something but...

LIYANA DURISIC: I mean, I feel like all the holes you could make birdie you miss them in the right spot and like if you're a little bit more aggressive.

But I think all in all I played well today, yeah.

Q. Can you share with us about your brother? Other than golf, what else you talk about?

LIYANA DURISIC: On the course we weren't talking about golf at all. We were talking about other people. We were talking about the weather, about how we need to get out of here because it might rain. All those sort of things. It was nice.

My brother keeps me out of golf a little bit so that keeps my head out of the game while I'm not hitting the ball kind of thing.

Yeah, so it was nice.

Q. When is the last time he caddied?

LIYANA DURISIC: He caddied for the ASEAN qualifier and we qualified, so it's really special to share it with him as well.

Q. Before that?

LIYANA DURISIC: 2024. Maybank 2024, so...
