Q. What did you make of the finish of that race?

DENNY HAMLIN: With everyone pulling to the top, letting me go by, I wish I could have been in it. I got clipped by the 34 on the bottom line entering turn three. I mean, all but wrecked. That killed all the momentum.

Then there was not just enough racetrack to get that momentum back in time. We ended up P8, which is, I mean, about what we thought, given everyone we're racing. That's what we got.

Q. You did move into second in the standings. Unfortunately minus 73 behind Larson. Your team came over the radio and told you he won. Your response was a short 'Whatever'. Talk about the next two races of the Chase...

DENNY HAMLIN: Yeah, truthfully, they've done a lot of things right. A lot of things have gone right. We've not done that. We've got a big old gap.

I think as long as he can keep his four tires on it the next two weeks, he'll be champion again.
