Quick Quotes
Q. Bogey-free round today. Talk about your day and how are you feeling out there?
HYE-JIN CHOI: So I think a bogey-free round is like a satisfactory game for all golf players. The fact that I was able to hole a lot of birdies also really helped my game, and there were some long putts that I made. So overall, I'm very happy.
Q. Yesterday you started off with two bogeys in the first 12 holes, and since then, you have not made a single bogey. What have you been focusing on halfway through that first round to now?
HYE-JIN CHOI: So I think towards the early round yesterday, I messed up my tee shot and I wasn't hitting well. I think there was a lot of room for bogeys.
But today, the wind, it was less windy and I was hitting much better, and I think that's why I was able to do a bogey-free round today.
Q. Do you feel like the course is much more scorable with less wind? Seems like that with all the scores out on the golf course?
HYE-JIN CHOI: I think, definitely, the wind is a huge factor here because when it blows, it blows. We are right next to the sea, so it tends to be very windy. The wind can affect not only you hitting your shot but on the green as well.
Q. A very good week last week, as well. Where do you feel like your game is overall, playing some strong golf over these past couple weeks?
HYE-JIN CHOI: So I think I'm shooting really well. So I'm not making like huge mistakes out there. And also, when it comes to putting and also my short game, I think I sort of have a standard, if you will, a criteria in my mind, and I'm kind of sticking to my mind with regards to those. I think that has contributed to me playing very strong and solid these past few weeks.
Q. And last one, we saw some fans out there wearing a hat and other things to support you. What does it mean to have all that support when you're out there playing?
HYE-JIN CHOI: I think it's enormous support. It goes without saying, they give me a lot of strength to go on. And not only the fact this it's Korea, my fans come out and support me through thick and thin, and I think that just really helps my game.
