Game 4 Press Conference (postponed)
Q. What will you do pitching-wise tomorrow?
STEPHEN VOGT: Armstrong's going to start for us tomorrow.
Q. Does this put Griffin in play to be a bullpen guy tomorrow or do you guys still just --
STEPHEN VOGT: Armstrong will start tomorrow.
Q. While this was all going down tonight, what were you guys doing during the time passing, and what was your outlook on how the weather --
STEPHEN VOGT: We knew going into -- we knew how many days ago that today was going to be a challenge. Numerous weather calls, numerous back and forths, and ultimately MLB decided we needed to wait it out.
Obviously it's an important game, and we need to make sure we're doing everything we can to play the games when they're scheduled. But MLB ultimately decided to wait this one out.
Q. Any negative effects from sitting around today? I mean, this was the forecast and the result isn't a surprise.
STEPHEN VOGT: It's completely out of our control. Our guys hung out today. We got some work in, obviously. We didn't just sit around all day. But it was obviously a long day to wait to not have a game.
But this is what happens. This is baseball. This is Cleveland. We're more than used to these kinds of days.
Q. What was the deciding factor to postpone it?
STEPHEN VOGT: I didn't hear. I think with it not really stopped raining and there's more coming, keeping everybody here until 2:00 in the morning with delays, ultimately, probably, was the deciding factor.
Q. Just your thoughts now on potentially having to rip off four games in a row.
STEPHEN VOGT: Let's go. It's regular season. We've played four in a row all the time. Obviously it's not ideal for either team. I think we both wanted to play today. It just wasn't in the cards.
We've got four games in a row. We have an opportunity to win some games and move on. And that's all we're focused on.
Q. I imagine a playoff game, players getting more like psyched up to play, if that's the right word. You just have to crank it up tomorrow? Or how does that go?
STEPHEN VOGT: This is what we do. We play every day. Our guys get psyched or get cranked up an hour before game time. That never happened today. So it was a pretty calm day overall.
These are professional baseball players. They know how to get ready. They know how to get going. I'm sure the Rays are in the same boat. Tomorrow is game day. Hopefully there's no weather. I know it's going to be cold, but we'll be ready to play tomorrow night at 8:08.
