Q. Joost, 4-under with six birdies. How was that round?

JOOST LUITEN: It was good for 17 holes, and then my 17th, the 8th hole, I double bogey, which normally you would say it's a birdie hole. I think the long day and the tiredness just got to me a bit at the end, and luckily I could get a birdie on the 9th.

Yeah, it's been a good day.

Q. Talk about the 8th hole, the double bogey.

JOOST LUITEN: Yeah, hit it in the right rough. If you're in this rough it's tough. My sand wedge went about 50 yards and I pulled a little 6-iron in bunker, hit a bad bunker shot, bad putt, everything went bad.

It was just one of these holes where everything went the wrong way. That's what you got to avoid here on New Delhi Golf Club. It's such a tight golf course. You got to be in the fairway. It's pretty much the only one that got away from me today.

Q. It's a real test of golf, this place.

JOOST LUITEN: Yeah, it's old school. You don't have to hit it long. You have to hit it straight. You have to hit the greens. It's great to play. I love it.

Q. And you found some great form recently. What's clicked in your game?

JOOST LUITEN: Well, I struggled with some injuries in the middle of the season, so that doesn't really help. Luckily now it's all a little bit better so I can practice a little bit more and then you can work on your game.

But if you can't practice and you have to compete every week with your body being only 50%, then it's tough. Just happy that the body is feeling better and the game is coming back to me.

Q. Finally, how important is it this week to have a good week and secure your place in Abu Dhabi?

JOOST LUITEN: Yeah, Abu Dhabi is Top 70. I'm thinking more about Dubai as well. You know you got to have a good week in one of the last two or three events of the year, and hopefully you can have a good weekend and get in both tournaments.
