Quick Quotes
Q. Well, Tom, it was your first time in India. Probably not how you pictured it waiting five hours to play nine golf shots, but great day in the office.
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, it was very good. Very happy with the way I played. The golf course is obviously very challenging strategically and just sort of the rough is very penal, so very happy with the day.
Q. Had to sit around for some time. How tough is it to get back up and rediscover that rhythm?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, it's definitely a challenge. I mean, you get up so early, to have an early tee time like that and end up hanging around for five hours, it definitely felt very strange sort of the last couple holes to feel like you're getting into a bit of a rhythm again, but thankfully I didn't have too many holes to play and didn't really sort of get out of that rhythm that I was in.
Q. You mentioned the word "rhythm." Talk about your the front nine. You had four straight birdies in a stretch.
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, it was good. Yeah, my game has been a little bit off recently, and sort of to have that stretch is obviously very nice, especially around a golf course like this. It sort of brings a lot of confidence and thankfully I was able to keep the foot down and have a couple birdies after that.
Q. Talk about your position in the Race to Dubai rankings. Currently 89th, and we know in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Top 70 and Top 50 to get into those events. How motivating is it that a good week here could change that picture?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, definitely. I think, yeah, they're events that I've played the last couple years and they're always very special weeks to play, so definitely will be giving my best the next couple days to hopefully try and sneak into one of those.
