NL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: DODGERS VS BREWERS

October 12, 2026

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

American Family Field

Los Angeles Dodgers

Postgame 2 Press Conference

Brewers - 7, Dodgers - 4

Q. Yoshi, what did they do to just foul off pitches, work longer at-bats, and just kind of drive your pitch count up the way that they did tonight?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: I don't know exact reason yet. I need to check the videos and then I can reflect on what happened today. I just wanted to get through the third inning, but I just ended up -- they made me walk out.

Q. And those two at-bats against Turang, do you wish you guys had used an ABS challenge? And in the second one, were you trying to challenge or just asking Will if he was going to?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: I thought about it because they called it, but that was too fine a line on the strike zone. So I just didn't know.

Q. Just to follow up, have you had a chance to look back at those few pitches, where they were, and do you feel like they were strikes in retrospect?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: Yes, I did.

Q. In that Bauers at-bat, obviously you used five different pitch types just to try to get him out. How difficult was it when it seemed like he was able to get to every single pitch that you were trying to throw at him?

YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO: I was trying -- because I think I was trying to work on the edge of the zone, and some pitches it was really good, but he just stayed on it. He did a good job.
