DABROWSKI-STEFANI/Siniakova-Zhang

6-1, 6-2

THE MODERATOR: Ladies, congratulations on this title together. Talk about the last week and your run to the final, what you both are most proud of from this title run.

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: Yeah, proud of a lot really. Obviously today's performance was like a really great culmination of the entire week, which was awesome for us.

We brought a really high level. Our opponents forced us to do that with their reputation, the number of times we've played them. A lot of respect to them for challenging us and making us better tennis players.

We have had such a fun time in Beijing. We really enjoyed it. Tomorrow we have a day off. We are really excited.

Definitely going to celebrate maybe later. Then tomorrow hopefully some tourist stuff. It really is well-earned.

LUISA STEFANI: Yeah, I mean, great week in general. We were just talking about it. We played some really tough teams and great players this week. It makes it even more special to come through with the title.

With the win, that means we had to put on a great level and fight through highs and lows of each match. Today we capped it off with a really solid level match. I'm really proud of that and happy about how we've improved throughout this whole year.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Five titles this year. Outstanding season across the board. I know a lot has happened since you were together for the first two titles, but it's quite remarkable what you've been able to put together this year given the trials you both had injury- and illness-wise. Can you put into context what having a year like this means based off of the path to get there.

LUISA STEFANI: Yeah, I mean, I think for me it's still kind of in the middle of it. It kind of feels like job's not finished in terms of the season still going.

I have a lot of pride. I'm very grateful for everything that we've been accomplishing and how well we've been playing, how we've improved together since the beginning of the year.

What the process has been like, too, in terms of our team effort, and not just Gabby and I, but our team as well who are guiding us and helping us be better as a team.

I think it's really cool to see that come to light in how we execute and how we perform. Then we get results from it. I think it's kind of cool to be in the middle of this process and living it in real-time.

In terms of really analyzing and breaking down what it means, I'm still not really fully looking at the results or titles. I'm more into the process of what we're trying to do.

But I'd say mostly a healthy year, especially at this time of the season, we're almost in November. To be healthy and playing well, winning a title here, also means a lot. It's really special to, yeah, just still feel good at this point in the season.

Like I said, there's still a little bit more to go. I'm trying to focus on what we're doing and still enjoying staying present and staying in the moment. Yeah, I think that's hard to do sometimes, but I'm glad we're working on it.

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: Yeah, no, I think Lu said some of the most important things about our partnership, which is focusing on the process. I feel like through injury and illness, it's this sort of journey that you're on to heal and get healthy and trust your body again.

I feel like our partnership this year has been a great representation of adversity management and how we've been able to stay strong through a lot of struggles individually with both of our bodies.

I think it's a beautiful thing what we've got this year. We've both said, like, we want consistent results, we want to push the later rounds in all the tournaments that we play. Fortunately we've been able to do that.

It's great to see what we're doing working as it has. We also feel motivated to keep going and finish the rest of the season strong at the same time. Yeah, it's been really cool.

Q. There's obviously still a lot to play for with the buildup to the Finals. With such a busy and successful year, what's the key to staying motivated and fresh after a long season?

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: I think finding balance between putting in the work, whether that's on court or in the gym, with our physio or the WTA physio team, it's all these boxes that still need ticking, whilst still trying to find ways to enjoy where we're at, having a day off here or there, taking a second to breathe, celebrate the wins, but also have a quick reset to get locked in for the next matches to come.

I think so far we've been doing a pretty good job of that this year, finding that balance. I think we'll just sort of stay in that same head space for the next few weeks.

LUISA STEFANI: Yeah, it's kind of a mindset that there's no deadline. It's to continue improving. Every match, every tournament, every trip is basically an opportunity to do better or to learn more about myself or ourselves. I think that really changes how you see the process and the results.

When you win, it doesn't mean everything's perfect. There's always things that we could have done better, we learned from this week. When we lose, it's not the end of the world.

Also I think the losses were the most important part of our season - at least for me. It really shows you what you need to work on.

I think once you get into that process, you have a lot of success, it's kind of cool to see it pay off. I think that's what keeps the motivation and the continuous work.

Q. You both looked very in sync out there. How important is it to build a good relationship off the court? Does it really impact the player on the court?

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: (Nodding head.)

LUISA STEFANI: I think for us, that's important. I wouldn't say that's an ultimatum for everybody. In our partnership, we actually roomed together this week. It's not every week, but it's been fun to spend some time on and off the court doing cool things, just enjoying the life that we get to, especially coming to China. It's kind of like a long way home. There are so many cool things to see in Beijing, do. The culture is different.

I feel like once we get into our routine with tennis, we also have some, like, (indiscernible) moments elsewhere. It's really cool. I'm glad we get to share. It's been fun sharing the tour life with a friend, as well.

Q. You mentioned doing some sightseeing tomorrow. Do you have something you're looking forward to seeing in Beijing?

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: Yes. We want to bring our physio to the Great Wall. She's never been. We've been. Yeah, we want to see it again with her. That's pretty exciting. We'll probably leave early to do that.

Then I guess we'll see how much time we have for the rest of the day. We would ideally probably like to maybe see the Forbidden City, maybe the Summer Palace if we have time.

LUISA STEFANI: Art district.

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: The art district. There's some really good coffee shops there.

LUISA STEFANI: I think we need more hours.

GABRIELA DABROWSKI: We need two or three days. We're going to make the most of the time we have tomorrow, for sure.
