Quick Quotes
Q. Obviously not the outcome you wanted, but just what's going through your head right four?
ALEX CEJKA: Yeah, a little bit disappointed, but it's always -- you are always disappointed if you lose in a playoff. Today was a great day. Gave me a lot of chances.
I started like, I don't know, eighth, tenth position, so to make it all the way to the playoff, I'm very satisfied. To lose against a birdie, there is nothing you can do.
Overall, I've been playing well the last couple weeks, and, you know, hopefully I'm defending next week in Cary.
So I'm really looking forward to it.
Q. The birdie that you made here in regulation, did you think that that could be for a playoff?
ALEX CEJKA: No. No. No, because I saw him on 18-under par and I just wanted to make it just to finish maybe solo second, whatever. It's a bonus, but in the end, same result basically.
Q. Right. Starting from tenth position, did you figure that you could catch the guys?
ALEX CEJKA: No. No, I didn't really -- never crossed my mind. Just played hole by hole and just tried to play as good as I can today, you know.
Down the stretch I had a couple great looks. Even on 17 I had a great look. On 16 I had a great look. Just didn't make them.
But, you know, that's just a bonus that I made it all the way into the playoff. So second is nice. You know, first is great, but I'm really not disappointed. I'm like rebuilding my game a little bit of a big tennis elbow, golf elbow, couple weeks' rest.
So I'm starting to get into the groove and it's a great positive. Last few tournaments been really positive.
Q. Anything about today that just wept better other than the score?
ALEX CEJKA: Putting. Putting. Putting was pretty good. I actually hit the ball pretty solid all three days. Just the putting the last two days was pretty good. That's where you make the birdies.
And this is a scorable holes, right. If it you hit good shots you can go -- you can do a couple good birdies.
So, yeah.
Q. Going back to the playoff tee box, few nerves, few butterflies. Anything...
ALEX CEJKA: Not butterflies. Maybe the first tee shot was a little bit of a weird because I already showered, -changed to shorts. I was already literally in the car. I had to hop out and change again. Didn't really hit balls. Like two, three balls on the range.
But, you know, it's a little bit easier when you finished a round sign a scorecard and go straight to the tee, but we both had great chances the first time.
