NL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: DODGERS VS BREWERS

October 11, 2026

Logan Henderson

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

American Family Field

Milwaukee Brewers

Pregame 1 Press Conference

Q. Logan, after you now have a start in the postseason, how do you kind of use that experience going into the second one, and is it kind of a little more calm going into the second one because you know a little bit more of what to expect?

LOGAN HENDERSON: Yeah, a little bit more just knowing about what to expect, like you said. There's going to be a lot of adrenaline there. I feel like learning how to control the emotions last week is going to help coming into this start.

Q. Logan, you were really good against the Dodgers in two starts against them, especially at Dodger Stadium the last time. Do you feel like you have a pretty good understanding of how to exploit that lineup and doing what you did against them, how much confidence does that carry over to tomorrow?

LOGAN HENDERSON: Yeah, ultimately it comes down to execution. Those two games I was executing well and attacked the game plan the way we needed to, and that's the same mindset going into this outing. There's definitely some familiarity there on both sides. So go back, watch those outings, and see what we had success with and come up with a game plan for them.

Q. You think about your journey through the Minor Leagues, fourth-round pick in 2021, what were the biggest things the development system with the Brewers helped you with, whether it was developing a pitch or your mentality that helped you get to the Major Leagues?

LOGAN HENDERSON: I think it's a lot of things. I really think it's the people in the building. Every building, every step coming up into the Big Leagues. They've built such a great culture. It's fun to be around everybody. I think we all learn from each other.

Yeah, I don't know about one specific thing. I've always had the four-seam and the change-up. So adding the cutter and the slider has been big for my development. Yeah, like I said, I think it's just the people here.

Q. For you growing up and loving baseball, who were the teams and players that you would usually watch this time of year when you were a kid in Texas?

LOGAN HENDERSON: I grew up an Astros fan. So in high school that was when they were on their really good run. Altuve, Bregman, Correa, Yuli Gurriel, George Springer, guys like that. Really fun watching them grow up, and they went to however many Championship Series in a row. So to be here playing in a Championship Series is kind of a full-circle moment. It's really cool.

Q. I'm curious when you started preparing for a game against the Dodgers, doing your prep work considering there was a chance you could have been available if that last series had gone to Game 5. Did you wait, or have you been kind of looking at the video for a while?

LOGAN HENDERSON: You're saying preparing for this outing?

Q. Yes.

LOGAN HENDERSON: I've been looking the last few days. I was preparing to pitch Game 5 in case we needed to play Game 5 in the last series. But ever since that game's been over, I've been going over the reports, all the reports I have on them, and I'll go back and watch that couple outings I had against them probably before the game starts today.

Not a ton of it, but definitely looking back at some of the stuff.

Q. Logan, sometimes pitchers will talk about having to believe in themselves, that they belong at the Major League level. Did you go through that process when you first came up, or did you feel that way from the start? If you didn't, where do you feel like you started to get that belief, like I belong here?

LOGAN HENDERSON: That's a good question. There's times where I still feel like do I belong? But I would say sometime after I came back off the IL this year, when I had a couple good start stretch. It was like, okay, had a little bit of success last year, but it was a very small sample size.

Maybe about my tenth start in the Big Leagues, it's like, okay, I have confidence, but being able to do it time in and time out, like okay, this is no accident. I feel like I have a spot in the rotation now and just keep moving forward from there.

Q. You just mentioned the IL. I was wondering, it was a back issue, we know that. I don't know that we ever really got much detail and I don't know if you're willing to share, but could you talk us through what it was you're dealing with and how difficult it was to kind of rebound from that?

LOGAN HENDERSON: Yeah, I had an SI joint flare up on my right side. It was really challenging. I'd been dealing with it for some time over the past couple years, but it really flared up in that Dodgers start the first time we faced them this year. It was like everyday life stuff, getting out of bed, putting my socks and shoes on, I was really struggling, let alone throwing a baseball. Like couldn't do that at my best ability.

Feeling pretty good now. We've had a good program with the training staff and weight room staff to try to clear some stuff up. I feel like we put ourselves in a pretty good spot.

Q. You've been pitching behind Jacob for a while. Do you feel like that helps you at all in your outings?

LOGAN HENDERSON: Yeah, I think so. Following behind him, he sets the tone. He sets the tone for the series. I think, when he pitches to the ability that he does, whether it's seven shutout innings or whatever, it's like I want to follow that up and then some. I think that's the competitive nature that the entire staff has. We're all very close.

Like I said, he sets the tone. I want to one-up that. Just for the team. Yeah, it's been cool following him up all year.

Q. Along those lines, when you think about you, Mis, Gas coming up together, how much do you guys lean on each other as you guys are going through really your first full seasons and your postseason opportunities.

LOGAN HENDERSON: Like I said, we're all really good buddies. Certainly lean on each other baseball-wise, but it's not just baseball, it's stuff outside the field. Living with Gasser right now, so we have a relationship outside the field. It's not always baseball.

It's cool, like to be able to have those kind of relationships with them, I think it definitely helps with the on-field stuff.

Q. What do you think it would be like to throw a baseball 104 miles an hour?

LOGAN HENDERSON: It would be amazing. Yeah, it's -- it would be incredible. I would probably throw a lot more heaters. I already throw a lot of fastballs, but I would probably have the usage he has if I threw 104, you know.
