CONSTELLATION FURYK & FRIENDS PRESENTED BY CIRCLE K

October 10, 2026

Vaughn Taylor

Palm Coast, Florida, USA

Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa

Quick Quotes

Q. Well played today. Actually two good rounds here. What has been working well for you?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: A little bit of everything. Hitting it pretty straight, getting a lot of good looks, and made some putts; got up and down when I needed to.

So just kind of a combination of everything.

Q. We've had sunshine for two days but all the rain that came down earlier, do you feel like when you go out there, I mean, you got to go low every day, but you have to go lower than low?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: Well, it's just so soft. The course just doesn't have the defense that normally would, so, you know, 3-woods are plugging into the greens. You can kind of take on any flag you want if you feel comfortable; you just got to control the spin.

That's probably the biggest thing. When you get a wedge in your hand you can really spin it too much. So that's where you got to chip up a 9-iron or something and try to take the spin off. That's a challenge, too.

Q. First year out here. How would you assess your rookie champion's season?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: It's been okay. A little up and down. Kind of took me a while to get settled in. Played better this summer, but just had a bad round here and there that kind of cost me a good week.

All in all, it's been fun. It's been a good time. You know, still working on my game. Took a few years off, so I didn't realize how rusty I was for tournament golf. So a little bit different playing at home with friends. So I feel like I'm tournament ready now and just got to keep positive (audio cut out) the gains.

Q. That rust playing at home, is that what you meant by it took a while to settle in?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: Yeah, because you don't feel the same in a tournament as do you at home. You think you might and it just doesn't happen that way.

So you're running a little more adrenaline, a little more nerves at times, and your body feels different, swing feels different. You got to reacclimate to those feels and build on them.

Q. You think tomorrow could be the day?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: I don't know. I've had some good weeks that didn't turn out so good. I'm just going to try to stay present and all those cliche things, just try to stay in the moment.

Q. Also occurred to me that I realize this is like 18 years ago but you were second near here.

VAUGHN TAYLOR: Yeah.

Q. Anything about this area that maybe pulls out the best in you?

VAUGHN TAYLOR: I don't know. I remember playing well there that week. It was bad weather I remember, and just hung in there and had a chance at the end.

You know, through the years I've kind of improved my wind game. I think that's a big part of it. You know, these grasses are familiar to me as well.
