Q. Yesterday it was a fast start; today it was kind of a fast finish. What was it like out there?

ROD PAMPLING: It was good. You know, we had good guys to play with. Paul and Ryan are nice guys to play with. I know Paul got off to a good start, so nice to see someone making birdies.

And then obviously you look up and everyone is shooting low, so...

But it was good. It was a fun day. We just go out there and just played. Wasn't stressed about not making birdies because if you're playing good every hole is a birdie out there.

Yeah, just kept myself calm in control and, yeah, we had a few fall in towards the end, which was nice.

Q. When everyone was making birdies you say it was not stressed, but it's like if you don't make a birdie you fall behind.

ROD PAMPLING: Yeah, do you. You know they're out there. Shows that they're out there. If you stay in control you can do it as well. Thankfully they kept going in. Another day of rolling it good, who knows.

Q. Did you notice Goggin's name rising up as quickly as it was?

ROD PAMPLING: Yeah, obviously you see it out there a few times. Yeah, no, obviously I don't even know what he finished, so he's had a great day.

Q. He shot 62 and he's one ahead of you.

ROD PAMPLING: 62. Yeah, so he's played great. It's out there. Matty is a good player. He's qualified a lot this year, so yeah, we'll see. Tomorrow is another day and like I say, I'll take care of myself and see what happens.

Q. Anything about this course that particularly matches up with your game well?

ROD PAMPLING: I'm seeing the greens really well and it's just the course is in great shape. It's a pleasure to be out there. It's new so there is -- you're not thinking anyone has an advantage. You're just out there doing your own thing. So far it's worked really well.

Q. Couple years since you last lifted a trophy. Do you feel like tomorrow is a good position for you?

ROD PAMPLING: Well, it's the best chance I've been in for quite a few months. Yeah, absolutely. I feel good out there. I'm not stressed out there, so it's just -- I've just going control myself and the rest is pretty good.

As I say, the key is I'm rolling it good so that's a good part of shooting low obviously.

Q. Of those last three birdies in the last four holes, any stand out among those?

ROD PAMPLING: Obviously the chip-in on the last was pretty special.

Q. See, we're up here. We don't see that.

ROD PAMPLING: Oh, really? It was a nice one. Hole is playing long. I didn't hit a great second shot. Just finished to the right of the green. When I hit the chip I knew it was landing right near my spot that I wanted to and lucky it went in, so it was good.

Q. What was the distance?

ROD PAMPLING: Oh, 20 yards, 25, 30 yards, something like that.

Q. Nice bonus to finish.

ROD PAMPLING: Yeah, exactly.
