Q. José, how does it feel going up against the White Sox pitchers knowing you've gotten plenty of looks at them here in the late season?

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: I mean, obviously, I've seen them a lot, but also they have faced me a lot too so they know what they're trying to do. They have a plan. I have a plan. I was able to secure it and thank God I was able to get the results. You know, but it's part of the game.

Q. José, talk about this team that's fought all year. You were injured earlier this year, but you came back and you've been a leader. Talk about the fight of this team this year.

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: It's not only this team particularly. It's also what we try to do as an organization, try to always compete. Don't quit in any game. What this team is doing is only what we know how to do.

Q. Congrats on a big night. If you can, take us big picture for a second about the team in general and the competitiveness of the at-bats the first couple innings. I think you saw 51 pitches the first two innings, drew a bunch of walks, hit some balls hard in play. You tried to stay in the game. And the mentality that it takes to have those kinds of at-bats, to turn games into wins this time of year.

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: I mean, as a team we're able to execute the plan. Not only having the plan but being able to execute it and taking pitches and trying to get on first base and get things happening. Obviously, we'll try to replicate that on Game 5 and hopefully we'll be able to win it as well.

Q. José, we spoke to Stephen earlier, and we talked about how you're typically pretty stoic, but there was a lot of energy and emotion after the home run, and you carried it into the dugout. What was that energy shift? And talk us through a little bit of what was said in the dugout when you rallied right there with that two-run shot.

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: It was very exciting. It's a special moment when you have that type of energy from the guys. I had a particular conversation with Messick before that; I told him I'm going to get this turned around for you, and I was able to execute it. It was really special. It was great energy out there, and very special to share this with the guys.

Q. José, Stephen also said that the home run was José Ramírez being José Ramírez in the playoffs. What is it about postseason ball that brings that out in you?

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: I appreciate those words from the manager. But for me, I always go with the same mindset, try to get good at-bats, try to help the team win. I don't try to get homers or anything like that. Luckily, we got the result. But for me it's always trying to help the team win in any way I can.

Q. What did Parker tell you after you hit the home run? What was your conversation like?

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: Just joking around, but he told me, yeah, you told me, you made it happen. I said yeah, I knew I was going to do it.

Q. Parker didn't enter the game until the fifth inning as a pinch-hitter. He made a huge impact with his home run and the go-ahead knock. What impact do you think he had on tonight's game?

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: I mean, always he brought that extra energy, and things started happening once he was back in the game. But everybody's trying to help here.

Q. José, coming here, you were down 2-0, facing elimination. Now you're going back home to Cleveland. What kind of reception do you expect in Cleveland, what kind of atmosphere at Progressive Field?

JOSÉ RAMÍREZ: I think it's going to be crazy. It's going to be an incredible energy. For us, it's going to be the same mindset: Try to win the game and enjoy the environment that's going to be at Progressive.
