Q. First off, congratulations on the win. I just want to run something by you real quick. How good does it feel to eject the situation you've had going since 2018, the fact that the team couldn't have a postseason win at an away stadium, and you guys done that today after yesterday's loss? How good does it feel to do that moving forward in this postseason?
AARON ASHBY: I think it's a credit to this dude to my right right here. He came in. He set the tone early, like first like legit time pitching the playoffs. I know he pitched last year, but in a game where we needed him. And he set the tone early, and the offense never gave up. It feels good to win one on the road for sure. It's been a while. I don't know when the last one was.
Q. 2018.
AARON ASHBY: 2018. So certainly I guess you could say the proverbial monkey on our back, to get that off our back, and get one on the road.
Q. Your thoughts on that eight-inning home run that happened to Manny Machado and practically silenced the crowd here in San Diego.
ROBERT GASSER: It was insane. We went quiet too looking at it. For me that had flashbacks to that World Baseball Classic. It was a very similar play. I think Manny hit that one too. Luckily we were on the right end of that one. Yeah, bullpen was nails, no hits for six innings. You can't beat that.
Q. A bullpen that allowed one run in 19 innings during this series. What was the key to shutting them down, not just tonight, but constantly throughout the series?
AARON ASHBY: I think what this bullpen has done all year is pick each other up. We take pride in not letting inherited runners score. We're all a very tight-knit group down there. It's like the first time that I've seen eight or nine guys.
We've been very consistently the same group of guys all year, so we trust each other with the ball. I know if I get two runners on, DL, Abner, Megill are behind me, and that's an unbelievable feeling as a pitcher. I think it just allows the other guys in the bullpen to take a deep breath and trust who they have behind us. That's a special feeling when you got guys like that in the bullpen.
Q. After a 100-win season and you guys just are into the next round, at what point do you start thinking about the Dodgers for the Championship Series? I know you guys are going to celebrate tonight, but at what point do you start thinking about what's next for you in a Championship Series and thinking about a potential World Series for you guys?
ROBERT GASSER: It starts tomorrow. Tonight's about us, but tomorrow we're making a plan and trying to execute and figure out how do we go in and get two wins at home and head over to L.A. and take care of business there?
We've played them well this year. We saw them last year in the NLCS, but we've got all hands on deck, and we're ready to go.
