Flash Quotes

A. de MINAUR/H. Hurkacz

6-4, 3-2 (ret.)

Q. Were you feeling anything before going into the match?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Yes, I mean, yesterday on the match I felt my adductor. Yes, so that was unfortunate. Managed to finish the match playing quite well. Unfortunately was not able to recover fully for today. I was struggling from the beginning of the match.

Q. Can you give us any insight into what you think the injury is?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Well, I mean, yeah, last match I felt my adductor. Yeah, that was it.

Q. Do you still feel you'll head to Shanghai or go home to do some tests first?

HUBERT HURKACZ: No, definitely want to play Shanghai, do everything we can to prepare, to prepare ourselves physically, to give ourselves a chance.

Of course, I missed Shanghai already for two years. I would love to play there, play some good tennis.

Q. Despite the injury, it's been a good Asian Swing for you. Can you take some positives away from your game moving into Shanghai and the European hard court season?

HUBERT HURKACZ: Definitely things are progressing well. Still things to work on. But I've been playing better tennis. I'm happy about that. So some good things to take from here, then some things to improve.

Hoping to play some good matches till the end of the year.
