BANK OF UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP

October 4, 2026

Ben James

Ivins, Utah, USA

Black Desert Resort

Quick Quotes

Q. Ben, if you can just recap your final round for us, 4-under 67.

BEN JAMES: Yeah, it was a good day. Hit it nice. Can't really be mad at 4-under. I wish I made some more putts. I hit a lot of freakin' good ones. Definitely really frustrated, played great. Man, three of them were halfway in the hole.

Really proud how I stayed pretty level-headed even though I was really, really frustrated. I didn't let the last shot bother me. I kept on focusing on the next shot and doing the best I can with the next shot, which I'm really proud of.

It was something where I was really teetering throughout the day with frustration and emotion. I was definitely really happy how I handled myself not having my best stuff today and keeping it a nice round of golf.

Q. Which putts really frustrated you?

BEN JAMES: You've got to look at hole 11. That was halfway in the hole. Last putt was really good, just unfortunately a little too much speed. Hole 3, that was halfway down too. Just a lot of balls catching a lot of hole and not going in.

Again, really proud how I handled my emotions after missing those putts and not letting it affect the next shot.

Q. In the big picture, this is your fourth top 5 in your last six starts. Talk about that consistency. Those aren't just back to back to back weeks. There's some gaps in between those that shows consistency for quite a while.

BEN JAMES: Yeah, I've been hitting it really nice. I think I hit 14 fairways today, hit a lot of greens again. Didn't really have a -- I think my longest putt for par was five feet. Pretty as stress-free of a final round as it could be, even though I was definitely a little emotional after those missed putts.

Just a lot of consistent ball striking. I noticed I've been hole high a lot, which is really important. So my distance control has been really nice lately.

Q. What's your schedule look like over the next month or so?

BEN JAMES: Probably play the rest of the fall. Obviously not playing next week, but I'll play the rest of the fall.
