Q. Okay, we are pleased to be joined by Allisen Corpuz after her final round at the 2026 LOTTE Championship. Allisen, not many players on the Tour get the opportunity to have a home game or super close to home. What does that mean to you and the excitement throughout the week?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, I think this tournament is really kind of like my first introduction to the Tour. I grew up attending it as a spectator and getting all the signatures watching the players.
It's always really nice to be home, and extra special to have a week in my own bed as well. Had a lot of family and friends out this week again, which was really nice to see.
And, yeah, just really special to be back.
Q. Yeah, kind of leads me to my next question: What were your first impressions showing up here? You mentioned you were a spectator. How full circle is that?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it's awesome. I had a few girls from like my high school following. Just a few local junior golfers. That is always really special to me I think, just first of all just having the juniors come out and kind of feeling like I am able to be a role model for like the next generation.
Also just for it to be local and people from my home state.
Q. Yeah, you mentioned just obviously juniors out here. What does it mean to just be able to inspire the next generation? I saw you taking some pictures with some young girls out there. How important is that to just grow the game on the Islands?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it was a big part of me growing up, just being able to play with other girls my age. I feel like I'm still friends with a lot of them today, and so it's really cool to just be on the other side of it, being able to give back this a small way.
Q. Last one from me: What do you take moving forward from this tournament? Obviously important stretch of the year coming up on the LPGA Tour. Overall impressions of what you take away from this course and this tournament?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I felt like it's been a pretty good year so far. I mean, I feel like there is always something to work on, but pretty happy with where the game is at. Yeah, really excited for the Asia stretch and for play to finish out the year.
Q. I unfortunately wasn't able to be here earlier early in the week. Looks like kind of windy out. Did the course play differently today than earlier in the week?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah. I mean, we had some rain earlier in the week and I thought it played pretty soft the first three days.
Felt like the course dried up a little bit finally today. Hit a few drives a little further. Greens are firming up a bit.
Yeah, I mean, you can see it right now. The wind is definitely picking up.
Q. Seems like a little more chill today than usual. I want to ask can you something that's a little different just to get to know you a little bit better. Are you a sports fan in general? Have you always just been kind of a golf junkie? The reason I ask that is because this time of year there is so much going on in the sports world and you guys are gearing up for your most important time. So you're probably not thinking about other sports that much, but what about as a kid? Was it -- were you one of those who just played golf or were you one of those who tried a lot of different things and said, hey, I'm pretty good at golf?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, so I have an older brother and my dad is a big golfer, so personally it was always golf for me. I love watching other sports. I just never really dabbled in anything else.
Then I think just going to USC, that definitely opened up the sports world for me a little bit. I mean, I kind of always tracked like all the sports for USC athletics now and all the LA teams, Rams, Dodgers. It's such a fun city to follow. I feel like they've been really successful and easy to root for.
Yeah, not too much growing up, but I would say definitely as I get older appreciating other sports more and more.
Q. I imagine USC football might catch your attention a little bit more now since they've a quarterback from here.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah.
Q. Some people are saying he might have a chance to win the Heisman Trophy.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Uh-huh.
Q. Anyway, all right, thanks a lot. Good luck as you get to the important part of the season.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Thank you.
