Q. Excellent round, 9-under 62. I know you're pleased. If we can get some comments.

JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, I feel like the game has been trending really nicely. The first two days I hit the ball off the tee great, and was just kind of waiting for my opportunities. Every now and then the putts would drop, was just kind of real steady, and then today obviously some more putts dropped.

I hit a real nice shot on 7, which kind of made me go, oh, okay, yeah. Just continuing to give myself a lot of opportunities and started to see the putts drop.

Q. Take us through that hole 7.

JOHNNY KEEFER: 7 is not a very easy tee shot. Probably the spotters are probably the most aware on that one. I stepped up, hit a really, really good drive like the first two rounds, and had a 7-iron from 220 something. I just knew I had to hit it good, hit it hard, and I did that. It landed on the front edge, went to about three, four feet and canned the putt.

Q. You were near the bottom of the field the first two days in strokes gained putting but you currently lead in strokes gained putting.

JOHNNY KEEFER: I think that's kind of how it goes sometimes. (Video glitch) continue to commit and trust my line and trust my speed control. Yeah, it was nice to see the ball drop, so once you get going, it can get going.

Q. You set your career low in Asheville on the Tour with a 62, and now you've matched it. Talk about the confidence that you have and the groove that you're in.

JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, I think it's nice for just a lot of things. Obviously mentally it's nice to see those scores, a little bit of validation on the work that's been put in.

Then obviously the other stuff that I've been working on, just between swing and distance controls and putting and all of that, it's kind of all coming together real nicely and helping me stay pretty steady. Hopefully I can shoot another good one.

Q. You jumped almost 30 spots on the leaderboard. Now tomorrow is in play. What will your mindset be for the final round?

JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, probably the same thing. Most likely towards the end of the day, they're probably going to make a few more birdies and I'll probably be a few more back, but it's probably going to be the same mentality; just go out and hunt and just chase the opportunity.
