Q. All right, we are here with Maja Stark after her third round of the 2026 LOTTE Championship. Just a really solid round overall and second solid round after yesterday. What aspect of the golf course do you think you've taken advantage of?
MAJA STARK: I think attacking a lot of the pins, because the ball really just stops wherever you fly it to, so it's kind of nice that you can be so aggressive.
And then, I don't know, I felt like I had quite a few putts on the front nine that just didn't go in, and then felt like I got a couple nice ones that went my way during the back nine.
But just, yeah, solid. Hitting a lot of greens.
Q. Awesome. Brings me to my next question. You had the bogey on 14 and then three consecutive birdies. What's the mentality change like and how do you just flip the switch after the bogey there?
MAJA STARK: I think on -- when I made that bogey I just wasn't really committed to that shot, and, you know, it's just been a lot of pars in a row it felt like.
And then that just kind of made me -- I don't know, sometimes you just need a bogey to start going. It was nice. I said to my caddie, I just need a bogey and then I'll start making birdies and then it happened. I mean, that's kind of crazy, but it feels like such a common thing for me to have those bounce-backs because it's like, yeah, just need to get a little smack in the face and just, yeah, come on, do what you're supposed to do. You can't walk around here playing scared.
Q. Sounds like you spoke it into existence. You've seen the course for three rounds now. A lot of the talk prior to this weekend was just heavy winds, heavy rain. Is there anything about the course that's playing differently than maybe your initial expectations?
MAJA STARK: Not really. I didn't really know what to expect coming here honestly. I've heard that it's always windy on Hawai'i, but it hasn't been as crazy as I thought it would be.
It's just kind of, I don't know, what I'm used to from playing at home in Sweden. The past couple weeks it was really windy at home, so it felt like it wasn't that much of a change, apart from how much nicer the weather is here.
Q. And then headed into the final round tomorrow, are you the type of player that enjoys chasing a leader?
MAJA STARK: Yeah, I think so. I think it's kind of easy for me sometimes to get scared and just want to hold onto a lead instead of actually pushing and going.
So it's nice to have someone to chase tomorrow.
Q. Last question: Just what's the game plan headed into tomorrow?
MAJA STARK: Just same: Just staying patient, knowing it might be my day, might not be my day. Just keep hitting fairways, greens, not getting too greedy and then just hoping that the putts will roll in tomorrow.
