LOTTE CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY HOAKALEI

October 3, 2026

Lilia Vu

Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii, USA

Hoakalei Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, we are here with Lilia after her third round here at the 2026 LOTTE Championship. This is your first bogey-free round throughout the tournament. What's the key to success today maybe as opposed to the other two rounds?

LILIA VU: I think the wind is a little different today. It's a different direction, and that kind of forced me into playing the shot in front of me and not worrying too much.

I gave myself a lot of opportunities and converted on them. I was putting better today, so I think that's what helped me.

Q. You mentioned obviously putts falling; birdie on 18 to finish the day; now T3. Talk us through that hole a little bit.

LILIA VU: Yeah, 18 I pulled my drive just a little bit. It was off the right today. I'm so used to it being off the left, so didn't quite aim it far right enough off the tee.

And then I landed in the bunker and it rolled through, so I was in like the first cut of the rough. Thought I was laying up with a 7-iron but it rolled really far, so I only had fifty yards in and then just hit a nice little putt to about five feet and made the putt.

Q. Nice.

LILIA VU: Yeah.

Q. Final stretch of the season. How would you assess your season so far?

LILIA VU: I would say it's been a really difficult year. I think just been struggling with post-injury and trying to trust my body again and trusting my golf swing.

I think I've made a really big turn over the last couple weeks. I don't know what it is, but I think it was partially swing technique that's like helping with me trusting my body and I'm hitting it a tad bit further, which to me has been like my Kryptonite. For the past two years I've been searching for something.

Then I don't know, it's all clicking now and I'm able to not think so much about my swing and just play golf, because like I'm like looking back at what I did today and didn't seem like I was thinking about much.

Q. I feel like that's always the best way.

LILIA VU: Yeah.

Q. And the hardest way. I guess leads me to my next question. What would you feel is the biggest difference in you your game this week as opposed to some of your previous starts?

LILIA VU: I think just having a little more freedom. I feel like I have come to peace with my swing and my game and just knowing that I have put in the hard work and just going out there and playing.

Because I feel like that's been the missing piece. Like I would go and play tournaments and hope that it would turn out okay rather than knowing that I put in the work, trusting it, playing golf, having fun on the golf course again.

Q. One last question: You built momentum through your round today and also through the leaderboard. How do you hope to keep this headed into the final round tomorrow?

LILIA VU: I think I'm going to do the same thing I did today: Keep my head down and try to convert and give myself more opportunities for birdies.
