Hoakalei Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, we are here with Yana Wilson after her third round at the 2026 LOTTE Championship. 6-under today. Your previous career low round was 67. What was working so well for you out there today?

YANA WILSON: I just feel like I was hitting the ball really well. I was driving it really well off the tee. Pretty much hitting every single shot how I wanted to.

So, I mean, nothing can really go wrong when you're doing that.

Q. You kind of talked about feeling well in all aspects of your game. This was your first bogey-free round this week. What did you do to give yourself more birdie putt opportunities?

YANA WILSON: I think just thinking around the course. Just taking account of the wind, because it does get pretty windy out here. Just kind of knowing how the ball is going to react, and also just knowing my shot shape. I think that plays a big factor into it. I just feel like I executed that really well and played really good.

Q. Yeah. Leads me to my next question. Obviously a little bit different conditions today than the previous two days. How do you feel like the course may be playing a little bit differently today?

YANA WILSON: I think it was a little bit tougher. I actually was hitting it really good the last two days but I couldn't putt to save my life, so I feel like I just made more putts today.

Yeah, with it being more windy today and the wind being a little bit of a different direction, I feel like there were more holes that were playing kind of into the wind, so I feel like I did have a couple longer clubs into my approaches.

So we'll see how it plays later in the afternoon, but I would say it was a little harder.

Q. With the stretch coming up before CME and Annika, how important is it to play solid golf right now?

YANA WILSON: Very important for me. I am really looking forward to playing golf in Asia. It will be my second time over there, and I just love it over there.

I think playing well this week is just going to be great kind of going into the next couple weeks because there is no cut. Just play as well as you can, build up the confidence and, yeah, just keep going all the way to CME.

Q. When you woke up this morning did you feel a career low round today?

YANA WILSON: No. I think I could go lower honestly. I wouldn't say I was disappointed with my 66, but definitely could have been lower.

Q. Good attitude. Last one from me. A little bit of a fun one. Obviously you have WTGL coming up. You were at media day so you got a little bit of a sneak peek. What are you most looking forward to in that next chapter?

YANA WILSON: Just being able to play golf indoors for a bit. We been outdoors all season. Being able to share that experience with my fellow teammates. They're awesome and I think we have the best team chemistry.

So yeah, just really excited to share that with them and hopefully go get a dub.

Q. Have you ever played in a team atmosphere kind of before or will this be your first time?

YANA WILSON: I have. Not similar to TGL because I think they do like a three-way alternate shot which I'm not really used to. I am used to just playing alternate shot and four-ball with another person.

I have played in like Junior Solheim Cup, Junior Ryder Cup, Wyndham Cup for AJGA. Not really anything like it, but I do love when it's team golf because everyone can use their strengths together and play really well.
