Quick Quotes
Q. All right, we are here with Hailee Cooper after her third round at the 2026 LOTTE Championship. Now 11-under through 54 holes. Today you shot 64 and your previous low round of the year was 68. What was working so well for you today?
HAILEE COOPER: I finally was able to make some putts. The last two days I struggled to make putts. Been hitting the ball well, so just waiting for them to finally fall in.
Q. And then you started the day 3-under. How did you build momentum and go from there? You had a stretch of consecutive birdies twice.
HAILEE COOPER: Yeah, me and Michelle who is caddieing for me this week, we are doing like a three-hole challenge. Every three holes I need to make one birdie. So it was kind of like that. So I would skip a few holes so I would be able to make it up on the next one.
So it was kind of a nice little challenge and kept me going and my mind on making birdies instead of trying to save or be too cautious with shots.
Q. Definitely. Love that. Such a fun little challenge there.
HAILEE COOPER: Yeah.
Q. Did you feel like a round like this was coming up at all?
HAILEE COOPER: No. This year has been really, really hard, really tough. I was playing really well the last couple events but just wasn't coming together, so kind of my last hurrah trying to do well. I made like a 30-footer yesterday to make the cut so pretty nice to come in today and do something like that.
I had no idea it was coming though.
Q. That brings me to my next question. You mentioned just making putts today and just feeling comfortable in that area. You two bogeys only came in the first round. Any adjustments that you might have made to give yourself more birdie opportunities?
HAILEE COOPER: I think just being more committed to my line. I think the first day I was really struggling with picking a line. Today it was more like I kind of saw a field goal a little bit in between ball marks so something.
So just picking a better line. My speed was a lot better today than the last two days, so that helped a little bit.
Q. Cool. And last question from me: How do you hope to keep that momentum into the final round tomorrow?
HAILEE COOPER: Yeah, I'm lucky to be here. It's pretty cool that I get to do this. If it's my last event of the season. I really hope that I can enjoy it. My family is here so it's pretty it's in Hawai'i. Just have fun.
