LOTTE CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY HOAKALEI

October 2, 2026

Jeeno Thitikul

Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii, USA

Hoakalei Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, pleased to be joined by Jeeno after her second round of the 2026 LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. Jeeno, 36 holes here of bogey-free golf. How difficult is that to do on this course?

JEENO THITIKUL: I know. I don't even know how I can do it out there. I mean, like definitely I hit more green. That's kind of easier not to fall off.

But obviously I do have some ups and downs that's not quite easy. Obviously my putts kind of hold all of that out, so it just, you know, just a lucky like momentum-wise that I'm not fall off the 36 hole.

Q. And then two really strong rounds here. We talked a little bit earlier this week about the stretch that you had off and just resting. Did you expect a round like this coming after having some time off?

JEENO THITIKUL: No. No. But I mean, golf always come the best when you're not expecting and you're not really like judging it to be as perfect as possible.

I think that's why it's -- when you think less, then when you see the result.

Q. Then you gave yourself a lead on 18 with that birdie. Talk us through that hole a little bit and what was going through your mind there.

JEENO THITIKUL: The birdie on 18, I mean, I have kind of medium, I would say medium line, not that hard but not that easy up and down. Like I had 30 yards to the pin; my pitch wasn't that good. I still have like ten or twelve to 15 feet left, but holed the putt, which is kind of really -- when you end up with the birdie on ending hole then you feel like you have sweet dream. Whatever it's going to be like overall shooting, but if you finishing with a birdie it's a sweet dream coming in the night.

Q. Obviously playing really solid golf right now. How important is that in such an important stretch going into the Asia swing and then finishing up with Annika and CME?

JEENO THITIKUL: I do like a quarter back of the year a lot. I mean, like because we kind of relax. We not have much tournament left. I feel like all Asia doesn't have any cuts, so a lot of food that we definitely going to looking forward to for sure.

And then for me, it's -- I mean, next week it's my home time to me. Like Thailand home I mean. Just kind of really charging my energy after the long season on.

So I love these kind of period of time. I don't know, and my golf is kind of good. And in this periods of time, too, maybe it's make more sense why I like it.

So I'm really looking forward to how things going end up for our season.

Q. Great. And then one last question for me: I know earlier in the week we spoke about the heavy wind you might have been anticipating. Do you feel like the course is playing any different than what your initial assessment was?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think the wind kind of less than what I expected to be. I don't know it's because the rain yesterday or the weather kind of changing, but the last time that I was here I feel like the wind gusting was so strong.

But it was lucky for us enough to not have that much gusts. If you can see by the result, I mean, the leaderboard-wise, the cut line was like 3-under par. I don't think if the wind picked up it's going to be that low, but hopefully on the weekend going to be like this.
