Q. All right, here with Carolina Melgrati after her second round here at the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. Just a really solid round from you. Round of the year from you in your rookie season.

CAROLINA MELGRATI: Yes.

Q. What went into this round, especially that final stretch of seven, eight, nine?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: Nothing specific. I was just trying to have fun on the course. It's Hawai'i and it's pretty good to play a tournament here, so I was just trying to enjoy the round, and, I mean, hit shots without fear.

That kind of works out when it's a nice calm environment, so that was nice.

Q. Anything in your game that's worked well for you so far this week?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: I think long game is improving a little bit, step by step.

So I think -- I mean, that's when you're more like confident I guess on what's going to happen, so that's great.

Q. 14 birdies for you over last two days. What is it about this course that has allowed you to score so well?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: I don't know.

Q. Is there something in your game --

CAROLINA MELGRATI: Just going with the flow.

Q. Putts are rolling?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: Yeah, I guess -- I mean, hitting it pretty good because the green is not like crazy, so you can kind of like see the break and figure it out a little bit.

So gives you more chances, so I guess that's the main thing.

Q. We've talked with a lot of players this week so far about kind of the wind and how to gauge that. How have you prepared for this week in that sense and gauged --

CAROLINA MELGRATI: With the wind?

Q. Yeah, the wind.

CAROLINA MELGRATI: I don't know, I kind of enjoy playing with the wind. Not sure why, but it's just nice. Like I've been practicing that a little bit more during my amateur career I guess for like tournaments played in the UK, things like that.

So I'm kind of used to that a little bit, and I don't know, it's nice. It kind of cools down the temperature, too.

Q. Yeah. 15 starts into your rookie season, coming up towards the end of it, how would you assess your first year on the LPGA Tour?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: I mean, I've had fun so far. Golf-wise, I mean, just up and down. It's kind of nice. Like as a first experience it's been amazing. It's like crazy good.

Q. Yeah. To have a round like this as we head into a pretty important stretch of the season, how good does that feel?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: Pretty good. Yeah, I mean, I was looking forward to having a score like this for a while now because, I mean, I felt like I just needed to put all the pieces together in my game.

I was just like patiently waiting for that to happen, so, yes, it's nice.

Q. Last one: How do you carry this momentum into the weekend?

CAROLINA MELGRATI: I don't know. I'll just try to do everything I've done so far, like preparation-wise, too, or just the mental approach. I mean, you can never tell what's going to happen, but at least I'll try to keep it cool.
