Quick Quotes
Q. 5-under second round 67 here at Carnoustie, how do you reflect on that performance?
IVAN CANTERO: It's one of the best day I played, really, because I hit all the drivers amazing, and on this course is very, very important. My irons are in good shape. I miss a lot of putts. It's the truth. But I'm very happy with my game, and I'm very happy with my amateur and why not same tomorrow.
Q. I believe it's only your second time playing the Dunhill Links. How much are you enjoying being back at these iconic courses?
IVAN CANTERO: Yeah, it's amazing playing St Andrews, Carnoustie. It's iconic courses. You hit good drivers, no rough around the fairways and it's good for hitters, and it's why I think I playing really solid.
Q. What do you feel are the main differences between the three layouts?
IVAN CANTERO: I think this one is more difficult than the other ones but the greens are in better conditions. It depends. If you have a good day, all the courses are easy to do a score.
Q. As it stands you're just one behind the leaders. How excited for you for the test at Kingsbarns tomorrow?
IVAN CANTERO: It's nice. The same routines. Do my best on all the shots. I need confidence. I'm in good position, and why not try to win the tournament.
Q. Slightly relaxed field this week but a lot of points available. How much of a good impact would it mean for you for the season?
IVAN CANTERO: Obviously I need more points on ranking but I think if I hit good shots tomorrow, and try to do my best, and it's what I need to do.
