SAM BAIRSTOW: It was a solid day. Felt like it could have been a bit lower but would have taken it at the start. Happy.

Q. Any shots today you're proud of?

SAM BAIRSTOW: Bogey-free is always good. Yeah, it's nice to do that and hopefully take that to Carnoustie tomorrow.

Q. Bit of mixed weather with the sun and rain. How did you adjust for that?

SAM BAIRSTOW: Yeah, we got like maybe half a hole of rain, so it was all right, which is better than the forecast looked. Yeah, it's two days in a row here. Tomorrow looks all right. So three in a row would be perfect.

Q. Nice results recently. How do you feel your game is at the moment?

SAM BAIRSTOW: Yeah, I've been playing well sort of since the summer break, really. Denmark onwards, I played pretty nicely. Yeah, so it's been decent. Just waiting for the good, good result.

Q. You won in Scotland on the HotelPlanner Tour. Is this a place you enjoy coming to play?

SAM BAIRSTOW: Not really but I seem to do all right here. So yeah, hopefully I can just keep playing well. Yeah.

Q. As you said, going into Carnoustie tomorrow, how different is that to the last two days you've had?

SAM BAIRSTOW: I think Carnoustie has got a stereotype of being harder but I think this type of year with no rough and you get a decent day with not much wind, you can still get at it a bit.
