Honestly I feel good on the court. I just making my tactic and I just following what I need to do. Match go really well, like my way, yeah.
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. With it being your WTA debut, how nervous were you entering the match? What did you think of the atmosphere playing in front of your home fans?
SUN XINRAN: Can you say one more time.
Q. With it being the WTA, your first match, what did you think of the crowd, playing in front of your home fans? Were you nervous before?
SUN XINRAN: Yeah, I was feel really nervous before the match because I first time play 1000. I just so happy to can play on that court. It's my home because it's China. I'm just so happy to be here.
Q. There is a rule that you cannot play many professional tournaments. Probably also one of the reasons why you play much more juniors this year. Which kind of level of tennis do you feel right now? Do you feel very quickly you can belong to this kind of tennis level already?
SUN XINRAN: It's hard question because I'm just start to playing professional. I just don't want to give myself so big pressure. I just want to step by step and just focus on my tennis and we will see what gonna happen.
Q. Having such success this year with winning the junior US Open, how do you think your experience in juniors has helped you prepare for your WTA debut today?
SUN XINRAN: Was really big help because I also play three time in the final for junior Grand Slam. Give me so many experience to play on the big court and also play with very good opponent.
I think that's really help me a lot to improve myself and I can play better in the profession.
THE MODERATOR: Questions in Chinese.
Q. What is your explanation of your style?
SUN XINRAN: I think I'm an all-around player. I have my interpretation of the game. Before the match I will make full preparation and focus on implementing the plan. This is my biggest advantage.
Q. As a young member of the Chinese team, you've had great performances. In previous interviews Chinese players had really high expectations of you. Do you have any future plans?
SUN XINRAN: First of all, as a pro tournament, I cannot play that many professional matches yet. I will go step by step, focus on myself. I will play more junior events to help improve myself. I will take my own pace.
Q. When you were 11 you decided to be a professional tennis player. At 16 you got your first win in the pro tour. What made you make a determination at such a young age?
SUN XINRAN: I think it goes back to my daily training. My team is very determined. We're really clear about our goals. We've been working hard towards these goals. That is why we're standing here today. We're very happy.
Q. Qinwen in the press conference mentioned you won the junior US Open championship as well as the Orange Bowl. She said you performed better than when she was a teenager. What do you make of this? What is your view of Qinwen as a very good Chinese player?
SUN XINRAN: I'm very happy to hear these comments. When I was in the gym, I talked to her. I told her she is my idol. In the Orange Bowl, she was playing with Gauff. It was a good performance. Australian Open, the Olympic Games. She had great milestones in her career.
I'm still a junior player. I will continue to learn from her.
