BANK OF UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP

October 1, 2026

Jordan Smith

Ivins, Utah, USA

Black Desert Resort

Quick Quotes

Q. Jordan, what a way to finish the round. 63 today, highlighted by an albatross on the last hole. If we can get some comments.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, it was pretty special. Yeah, been playing nicely all day. Man, hit a good drive down the 9th there and had a perfect number for 6-iron, just sort of landed middle of the green, let it race up, and came out perfectly.

Q. Two birdies before that as well; just talk about the final stretch.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, so we holed sort of a nice 30-footer on 8. It's not an easy pin to get to because it's so tight to the front there. Yeah, nice 4 on the other par-5 there, so nice stretch.

Q. Brendon Todd said that he thought he was playing those last three holes well with three birdies, but you had to show him up.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, we were all playing them nicely, to be fair, and then I had to go and do that down 9 and ruin it for all of them.

Q. How were you feeling coming into the week, and how do you feel about this round overall?

JORDAN SMITH: I was feeling good, feeling really good. Had a nice week off at home back in England. I had a half decent week at Wentworth back home. Yeah, I was feeling good coming into the week. It was just getting over a bit of jet lag and getting on the time zone, and yeah, golf game has been feeling good sort of the last few months.

Q. Do you remember your last double eagle?

JORDAN SMITH: That was my first one, yeah, so I was saying we're on some run at the moment because we had the hole-in-one at the Wyndham, then we had the hole-out at St. Jude and then this today. We're on some run at the moment.

Q. How did it compare to those other ones?

JORDAN SMITH: Well, the hole-in-one, I got some Wyndham points, so that's a bonus. But yeah, it's the first time I've ever done it, so it was pretty special, and to end a round like that is even more special.

Q. At what point did you feel like it might go in? Could you see it go in from where you were?

JORDAN SMITH: We could see it. It took a nice favorable bounce on the green and it sort of shot it towards the hole, but then it goes over a bit of a crest and we couldn't see it, and then everyone was cheering, putting their arms up, so then we knew. Yeah, pretty special.

Q. Would you call it a double eagle or an albatross?

JORDAN SMITH: Albatross for me, yeah.

Q. Talk a little bit about your season and what you're hoping to accomplish during the fall.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, I'm very happy with my season. Obviously my first time out in America on the PGA Tour, and I think it was just getting to grips with how things are out here compared to the DP World Tour.

Everything went smoothly and played some really nice golf. It's been nice to come to the fall series now and sort of secure stuff for next year, and we can try and push on and try and get into those couple of Signature Events starting next year.
