Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Chanettee Wannasaen after her first round here at the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. Really solid round from you today. What were some of the differences in maybe your play on the front to the back?

CHANETTEE WANNASAEN: Just because back nine I can made the putt. That's it.

And because today I think I hit really good. Like I think I made like 13 fairways and around like 15 greens. Yeah, and I hit like -- not like close to the pin but, you know, like a madeable putt. I made a couple putt, yep.

Q. Was there a difference in like what maybe you were seeing on the greens or was it just the putts just weren't falling?

CHANETTEE WANNASAEN: I don't know. I just putt. Yeah, front nine I try to like read the green. Like, oh, the ground was like this and ball was supposed to go like that but it's wrong, so back nine I just putt.

Q. Absolutely. We have talked to a lot of people about the wind on this course. How do you prepare for the wind and the off-and-on showers?

CHANETTEE WANNASAEN: Today I think I got lucky because I didn't play in the morning and the morning is like have like heavy rain. Afternoon, afternoon was fine. No rain and it's not that windy today. Today is not that windy.

So I think that make this golf course like easier, because I remember like my first year, like three years ago, it's really tough for me because I -- that time the green is pretty firm, green is pretty fast, and it's windy.

This year I think because like rain they just had like hurricane here, so green is soft and a little bit slow. But that easy because we can like play aggressive, like hit close to the pin, play a number.

Q. And last one: How does a week like this prepare you for the rest of the season, especially a busy stretch in Asia coming up?

CHANETTEE WANNASAEN: I don't know. (Laughter.)

Q. I'll change the question then. Anything you're looking to improve upon or any goals you have for yourself as we finish up the season?

CHANETTEE WANNASAEN: I think I really like enjoy when I like play, because this year I start like a little bit struggle with that. Right now I'm like really enjoy that. I just want like keep that feeling, keep this momentum until like end of the season.
