Q. Your thoughts on that round?

CHRISTIAAN BURKE: I played really nicely. Ball-striking was there. Left a lot out there with the putter but I'm really happy and a solid start.

Q. Was there a particular part of your game you did really well?

CHRISTIAAN BURKE: Driving. I was driving it really well. I gave myself a lot of opportunities into the greens, and I managed to hit a couple close.

Q. Sun was out all day, and the wind was up as well. Talk to us about the conditions.

CHRISTIAAN BURKE: Conditions is good. Wind is about a club or two winds. It's always nice to come into Scotland and it's sunny, so I can't complain about the conditions.

Q. Is this a format that you enjoy? How is the team dynamic coming together after round one?

CHRISTIAAN BURKE: I love it. I told my caddie as well, just makes you relax. I've got a lovely partner, John. So it's really fun out there.

Q. Nice up-and-down finish on 18. How important is that to finish well going into tomorrow?

CHRISTIAAN BURKE: It's always nice. Gives you a little bit of confidence. You don't want to finish with a drop or you'll have a long afternoon. Really happy with the round and excited for the next three days.
