Q. Talk about the hard work you've done early in the round, good score.

CASEY JARVIS: Yeah, obviously bogeying 16 and 17 wasn't ideal. To hit two really good shots into the last hole, yeah, I mean, I'm really happy and proud of the way I played today.

Q. What was the other highlights, just quickly, what would you pick out from your round?

CASEY JARVIS: I think the par 5, 14. I hit a really nice second shot in there to a foot away. That was a pretty big highlight. I think at the turn, I bogeyed 8 and 9, and then I bounced back with four birdies and an eagle.

So yeah, strong wind and just kept my head down and kept going.

Q. What do you think of Carnoustie? What do you make of the course? What do you like about the course?

CASEY JARVIS: I would have said Carnoustie is one of my favourite courses in the world. I've never actually particularly played well here in the past, but it would still be my favourite course. I think the bunkers are so well placed. It's always in fantastic condition.

Yeah, there's so many things about the course that is just tremendous.
