MALLORY KINAHAN: All right, we are here with Jeeno Thitikul. Pleased to be joined by you ahead of the 2026 LOTTE Championship. So this is your second start here. You were here in 2022. Anything that you recall from the last time that you might be looking forward to this week?
JEENO THITIKUL: I obviously -- I mean, like golf course is always in the great shapes. I mean, I barely had like not much really memories here, what I have here is like, wow, top.
I feel like my last time was like three years ago and then here we are, I'm here. Like just kind of remind me about my baby Jeeno until now. This is my fifth year on Tour which is so, you know, like how fast I have been going through my career until now, which is really, like amazing how I can kind of think back to what I have been done in my rookie year.
MALLORY KINAHAN: That's so awesome. Five top 10 finishes your past five starts. Where do you feel like your game is at this point in the season?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think I do have a better game than I started like season-wise. I feel like a lot of been going well last couple month.
But I obviously -- you know, golf you always had a room of improvement and it's never ever been perfect every time. I mean, like every second of golf never ever been perfect anyway.
But, yeah, it's great to have some break after Boston. Like have a month off before here, which is nice. I kind of like really doing like a work-life balance, like not really hitting balls on the first couple weeks.
I did work the last couple weeks that I've been putting work on.
MALLORY KINAHAN: You talked about the time off. Obviously changed some things up and worked on your golf game. Anything as well that you might have enjoyed yourself having time off before coming back out here on the course?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, it's nice we have some break and that I do have myself reset, not think too much about golf.
But obviously at the time that you've been athletes and then you addicted to golf, and then you just like -- when I had like a week off I was like I feel guilty and bad that I'm not like practicing.
Which is not good, because like you need to break, you know, sometime. Like mentally, physically break from it.
But obviously had a really nice like trip to Austria with my coach, his coach wife, and then my friends. We had a lot of fun. And then also last two weeks I just keep on putting work to come back and compete again.
MALLORY KINAHAN: Very cool. I guess my other question would be obviously the weather this week. Anything that you might have initial assessments of the course, how it's playing ahead of the weekend?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, my head still wet from the morning wave. We were in Hawai'i and then obviously the rain seem not too friendly to us in the weekend, or, you know, might be a chance.
But I think the most key here is the wind pick up so strong. I mean, like you might have chance to not be on the rain at all or might have a chance to heavy rain plus a heavy wind, which is going to make golf, you know, difficult.
But I mean, if it's difficult to everyone, it's, I mean, fair. It's difficult to me, too. Not just -- all the Tour has the same fields, which is the same weather that we playing. And then it's golf. The show must go on anyway.
So hopefully we have a friendly weather for us in Hawai'i.
MALLORY KINAHAN: One last fun one. You do have WTGL just around the corner. What are some of your excitements for that and just looking forward for the opportunity to play as a team?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I think it's really fun and unique platform of competing. And then it just really like great opportunity for the women to be able in the same like arena as the men already did. I think it's really fun and then challenging for all the fans.
I mean, it's fun for us, but for the fan it's really different side of watching normal golf. That just really totally different than 18 holes of golf. They just can sit down and grab some beer and just watching us play like basketball games or football games, right.
I feel like it's kind of be more creative and fun like the vibe around us, and we can be more aggressive and the character-wise of the players can come out really like easy.
I really looking forward to it. I mean, like I have my best friend my team which is Ronni on my teammates. I do have Lexi, which is, you know, U.S. favorite. And then we have several girls that -- also Brooke is on my team.
I think we're really good pairing of our team, so really looking forward for that.
MALLORY KINAHAN: Awesome. Thanks so much for your time.
JEENO THITIKUL: Thank you.
